It is so easy to prepare these and they have such lovely colors. I’ve prepared them recently for an event to introduce my Turkish Cooking Classses. Decided to put them in little blue chocolate papers.

In almost every Turkish house there is a pack of dried apricots, quite handy. It is definitely better then eating candy.

You need to soak the apricots first and then open them up to later fill them with the cloated cream.

If you find it too creamy, you can add walnuts, nuts and put less cream. Don’t forget to decorate with grounded pistacchio.

Instructions
  1. Wash the dry apricots. Put them in a bowl and soak with water. Keep in the water for 2-3 hours or overnight.
  2. Put the apricots in a pot. Add water just enough to cover the bottom. Put two tbsp butter on top.
  3. Cook on medium heat until butter melts and the water is soaked up. Stir well for about 1-2 minutes. Close the heat.
  4. Pour the apricots in a serving dish. Wait for a few minutes until they cool.
  5. Take each apricot fill it with a tsp of cloated cream and sprinkle with grounded pistachio. You may also want to add a piece of walnut in it to make it richer and more delicious.
  6. There, already finished. Enjoy.
