Dry Baklava with Walnuts and Tahini

Dry Baklava ServeYou can prepare this dry baklava whenever you are craving for baklava but weightwatching or whenever you have baklava phyllo or the best reason would be because you really like them. All the material can be easily found. This dessert can be easily prepared. There is really not much to mistake to enjoy this lovely treat. I have a confession to make though; once I forgot to sprinkle the sugar. Believe me, I will not forget it again, it became rather tasteless.

So; here is how it goes. Spread a phyllo sheet on your working space, butter it, spread another on top, butter again.

The third layer will follow, but this time sprinkle with tahini, coarsely chopped, cooked walnuts and sugar.

Cut to equal sized pieces and you are ready to put in the oven.

Instructions
  1. Spread out a sheet of baklava phyllo.
  2. Sprinkle all around with melted butter.
  3. On top lay down the second sheet.
  4. Again sprinkle with melted butter.
  5. On top lay down the third sheet.
  6. This time, instead of butter, sprinkle with tahini, sugar and walnuts.
  7. Then gently, using the shorter side make a long cigar looking roll. It should not be too tight of loose.
  8. Continue till all the material is finished.
  9. Then cut each roll to about five cm long pieces.
  10. Then place all pieces in a tray with an oven paper. Cook in a preheated oven at 180 degrees, until golden brown in all sides. This will take about 15-20 minutes.
