Fried Bread with Eggs / Yumurtalı Ekmek

fullsizerenderAs you are visiting this blog, you probably know already that Turkish breakfast means eating a lot. I would like to share a family recipe today: Fried bread with eggs. It involves frying so it is not something I prepare often; however when I put it on the table it is scooped in minutes. I hardly picked two pieces for the photo in a hurry.

It has only few ingredients. If you do not want to eat it at tea time. You just whisk the eggs and milk with a pinch of salt. I do my frying with olive oil. Fry only 2-3 pieces at a time. Fry until brownish on all sides. This treat is also good for using stale/left over bread slices.

You should serve while still warm. Goes perfectly well with a slice of cheese and some jam or honey; not to forget a cup of Turkish tea or a glass of milk.

Have a lovely day with a full tummy.
