Zucchini with Ground Meat Recipe / Kıymalı Kabak Yemeği

Kabak YemeğiMany know that zucchini has very low calorie and want to use it often in our diets. Here is an alternative dish you can prepare with zucchini. My daughter doesn’t like it because it is too soft, my grandmother likes it because it is very soft. Try and find out your own opinion. I serve it as a main dish, accompanied by plain pasta and ofcourse plain yogurt.

It is definitely very easy to prepare. Just chop and saute onions, garlic, tomato. Slice the peeled zucchini. Add spices and there you are. Read details below in the recipe.

Instructions
  1. Add the olive oil in a pot, together with chopped onions. Saute until the onions are shiny.
  2. Add the crushed garlic and saute for another minute.
  3. Peel and chop the tomatoes and add, saute for another minute.
  4. Peel and cut to thick slices the zucchini. Add to the pot and mix.
  5. Add all the spices.
  6. Zucchini contains a lot of water, if by now it hasn't leaved enough hot water add enough water to cover the bottom of the pot.
  7. When the water is boiling, lower the heat and cook until the zucchinis are ready to eat.
  8. After the zucchinis are ready, close the heat and garnish with chopped dill.
  9. Serve hot. Plain yogurt will be perfect to accompany. Enjoy.
